A big welcome back to all of our Renmark Rovers Football Club sponsors and supporters. Just like that it’s 2025 and Football is again just around the corner!! What an end we witnessed to the 2024 season with our A Grade lads taking out the Premiership in fine style at Loxton North against old foes Barmera Monash. It is results like this that make all of the hard work through the year worthwhile and it is just as rewarding for the player’s families, supporters, sponsors and the football club as a whole as it is the players themselves. Add to the A Grade result the success of our B grade finishing the season strongly only just missing finals, U13’s and U18’s making the Preliminary Final and our U15’s just going down in a nail biter on Grandfinal Day, 2024 was certainly another fantastic year for “The Rover’s”. With our run of recent success going back to 2019 and now with 4 x A Grade flags in 5 years (2020 Covid year) we find ourselves in a fantastic position heading into 2025 to further build on this success through all grades. For the first time in a number of years we have already locked in all coaching positions for the new season. Club Captain – Matt Woolfood has taken over from Sam Sever to nurture our Auskick kids. Sam Sever will be looking after the U9’s. Matt Jarvis has stepped into the U11’s coaching position with Luch Albanese stepping up from U11’s to mentor our U13’s. Troy Britton has also continued in a coaching role this year but will be steering the U15’s to hopefully go one better in 2025. Paul Hooper retains the U18’s Coaching position as does Aaron Camplin with our B Grade. Lastly, our reigning Premiership Coach Josh Vater, and now the Rover’s most successful A Grade Coach I might add, will again be leading the Seniors in 2025. With a number of young local lads coming into the senior ranks, others returning from injury or a year away and with the 2025 Grandfinal to be held on our Home ground in September, there is plenty of incentive for everyone around the footy club for the coming season. As well as the above I am happy to report that we have some past players returning to the Kennel. Lachie Lellmann returns after a season over the border at Balranald. No doubt the experience Lachie gained from playing in another League will see him impose himself on the RFL competition this year. We also welcome Ben Kealy, an ex Waikerie Premiership Player (we won’t hold that against him now that he has seen the light), who has joined the Renmark Medical Clinic as a GP Doctor. Welcome to the Rover’s Ben. Lastly we welcome back Adrin Herridor who played with Paringa in 2024. We are also fortunate to be able to announce that we retain the services of Tim and Dan Woolford as well as Nick Gillard and Tim Blight for season 2025. Add them to our Multi Premership winning local playing group and we should all be looking forward to the coming year! Having said all of the above……..the Renmark Rovers Football Club does not operate without the generous support of you ‘Our Sponsors’. Hopefully the results of recent seasons is encouraging enough for you all to again want to get behind our Club and Players in season 2025. As I said last year, but I will repeat it, we pride ourselves in getting good people into the right positions at our Footy Club so that everyone involved, especially our sponsors, are confident in putting their name, and money, up and be associated with us. It is certainly not something taken lightly and we are extremely grateful for all of your support and we look forward to discussing sponsorship opportunities with you and with your support, we are extremely keen and confident of another successful season in 2025. I look forward to seeing you in your Blue and White at the footy in season 2025 cheering on the Rovers.
